Who does what
The sign of a good movie or story is one that gets people talking about what the characters did and exploring the reasons that motivated them. A great movie/story is when the characters are complex enough that they aren't simply cut-and-dried. For example, they're a bad guy simply because they're a bad guy.
A downside of this is when the number or levels of motivations for two or more characters are pretty close together. The idea of "there has to be one person behind it all" becomes the focus and the discussions turn into arguments and edit wars as the hunt to find out who is more of an antagonist goes on, with expeditions into ideas like who is on screen the longest or who looks like they're doing the most work.

Hi all! Fandom posted an update regarding the Unified Community Platform (UCP). As a reminder, the UCP is a new unified platform giving users the up-to-date MediaWiki experience including the latest features! More can be found here as a reminder.

Merge with Monsters at Work Wiki
Hey guys!
RedBallFire is interested in merging Monsters at Work Wiki (MAW) with this wiki so we can create the ultimate Monsters Inc database. All the admins at MAW Wiki agree and we would like to start a community discussion here about it. With the merge, all the MAW admins would gain admin rights here.

The Loop and Fandom in 2019!
Hey guys!
I'm here to let you know that staff have exciting plans for the future of video on Fandom, including the future of what was Featured Video (FV) and what is replacing it.
A replacement for FV, titled The Loop, is set to be a mini-show that will be different for each vertical, highlighting the latest news from topics relating to that vertical. The best bit? These videos will use wiki articles and will encourage users to visit the wikis featured in the videos to find out more.
As a new episode of The Loop will be released weekly, you will see a wide variety of wikis of featured so there is every chance yours will be featured too!

The title sounds really fancy and complicated, but this boils down to Fandom recommending content you want to see. Fandom has received feedback from users who are receiving recommendations to visit certain wikis they are not interested in.
With this data driven approach, users on a wiki will receive recommendations for new communities to visit based on what typical readers of that subject are interested in. That way you can attract like-minded users to your community and you get to visit other wikis you are interested in!

An Idea for a MU TV Series and a Possible Remake of the MU Movie

Hi guys! I made a cast for my movie spoof of the Monsters franchise, Toons, Inc. and Toons University, for when I get a Youtube account. If you don't know what a movie spoof is, watch Youtubers like Truedisneyking or Michaelsar12isback. The made up plot is about a long time ago, when Cartoon Characters used to scare kids to get scream energy, but eventually learn that laughter is much more powerful, explaining why they're so funny. More Facts You Probably Didn't Know About Monsters, Inc.
The name, Mike Wazowski, was came up with by the Muppet Man himself, Frank Oz.
Boo, who was originally named Mary, was originally going to be six years old, as a smart-alec kid who's older brothers play tricks on her a lot. They changed her to be younger, so that she'd be more dependant and more loving to Sulley.
In one of the many script ideas for the movie, Sulley was a janitor who is too afraid of humans to be a scarer, Randall is the top scarer, and Mike is his assistant, but still Sulley's friend.
Due to the ENORMOUS amount of hairs on Sulley's body, it took a total of TWELVE HOURS just to make ONE frame with him in it.
If you look closely at Boo's drawings, she wrote her real name on it, "Mary".

Sulley has 2320413 hairs on his body.
Since Mary Gibbs, the voice of Boo, was very young and hard to keep her in place for recording, they just let her play and run around the studio, and followed her with a microphone.
There was a long time of production where Mike wasn't even in the film. They added him in to be a close companion to Sulley, a guy that he could express his feelings to.
Billy Crystal immedietlely said yes to being the voice of Mike, after regreting his decision to say no to voicing Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story.
Mike's New Car was originally supposed to be a scene in the movie.

Will Pixar ever produce a television series spin-off of Monsters, Inc.?! I cannot wait until they do and I hope they do!
