Fear Co Logo
Fear Corporation, usually abbreviated to Fear Co., is one of the rival companies to Monsters, Inc., the other being Scream Industries and Scare Masters. One of their most prestigious former scarers was Derek Knight, who taught as a professor at the School of Scaring at Monsters University.
History[]
Fear Corporation was founded at an unknown date by Jack Worthington (whose descendants have ran the company for generations since), and quickly became Monstropolis' second-biggest scream-processing plant, after Monsters, Inc. Derek Knight was formerly a scarer at Fear Co who likely retired from his job and became a professor at Monster's University. In the Monsters at Work season one finale "It's Laughter They're After", it's revealed they still use scare power.
However, in season two, they interfered with Monsters, Inc. power supply in an attempt to force Laugh Power to not be trusted and Scream Power to return. They stole Laugh Power and stored it in their energy system, and tried to pass off a fake Scream Amplifier as their solution to the malfunctioning power supply actually caused by Randall Boggs stealing power from Laugh Canisters before it could be inserted into the energy system and modifying them to show a fake full energy value. They used Tylor as a pawn and stepping stone, but after Randall and Johnny revealed the truth to him, he betrayed Fear Co. to the MIFTers. They used the Scream Extractor to remove the Scream Energy before Johnny could turn on the power and blow up the city due to the mixed Scream and Laugh Power. Johnny was later arrested due to the scandal of Fear Co. having a power tank filled with stolen Laugh Power.
