Humans are inhabitants of the Human World, a world that exists alongside the Monster World.

Known history[]

The animosity between humans and monsters date back to prehistoric times where there existed two primitive tribes: the Mans and the Mons. The Mons wanted to coexist with the Mans, but the Mans drove them away because they didn't like how the Mons were smaller and hairier than them, had bad breath and smelled bad. The Mons came to a strange tropical island where the food there transformed them: they became hairier, their teeth became worse, and they reeked. They discovered that if they ate the same food the animals on the island ate, they would take on their characteristics and by eating sun pods, they grew bigger.

Then one day, one of the Mons looked at his reflection in a pool and scared himself silly. This gave him an idea and he told the other Mons his plan, reminding them how they tried to make peace with the Mans only for the Mans to scare them away. So, he suggested sneaking back to their home and scaring them for a change. So they did.

They found their revenge so sweet, they decided to make it their mission in life, an act that became known as "monsterizing". And so, the Mons became known as Monsters while the Mans became known as Mans; over the years, they dropped the "S" and became simply known as Man.
