The Slug Student is a minor character in Monsters University, and, appears as a cameo in Monsters at Work.
Bio[]
The slug student first appears when the bells for the first day of school ring. Not wanting to be late for class, he moves as fast as he can. Unfortunately, being a slug, he is extremely slow, so the fastest he can go is far from it. He is then seen after the credits, finally making it to class. However, the classroom is empty, and a janitor tells him that school is already over, and everyone is on summer break while he then starts running to head back, at the same speed home.
He appears in Monsters at Work season one as a member of the Slimy Slugs bowl-off-athon team and takes so long to bowl that the next day comes and the team lose by forfeit and dejectedly lets go of the ball, ironically scoring a strike. He later appears in season 2 in a cameo.
Description[]
He is a yellow, slug-like monster (kind of like Roz) with buck teeth, grey eyes, and orange spots on his back. He also wears a blue backpack.

Trivia[]
- In the first trailer for Monsters University, the slug did not have buck teeth as he has in the final film.
- Bill Hader, Slug’s voice actor, who voiced Flint Lockwood in both Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs films, also voiced the referee.
- Ironically, Hader also voiced Guy Gagne, the main antagonist of the DreamWorks animated film, Turbo, about a snail that can run as fast as a race car, due to him getting into an accident involving falling into a car engine and being injected with fuel.
