- “"If this was an inside job, I'd put my money on Waxford."”
- ―Mike Wazowski, Monsters, Inc.
Waxford is an experienced laugh assistant at Monsters, Inc. He works alongside Spike Jones, collecting laughter from children in order to provide power for Monstropolis.
He is a relatively short green monster with five eyes, upon each of which he wears a hard hat while on the clock. He walks using tentacle-like legs.
Biography[]
Waxford is already an employee at Monsters, Inc. at the time of Monsters University. He was working on the scare floor when Mike Wazowski's school class took a field trip there.
Later in the film, Mike, James P. Sullivan, and the rest of Oozma Kappa sneak onto the roof of Monsters, Inc., where they are able to view the scare floor in action through a window, Waxford among the visible workers.
In Monsters, Inc., Waxford has a brief role in the company commercial, his image being shown next to that of a child. Later, when Randall Boggs is antagonizing Mike over rumors of a human child in the factory, Mike desperately calls attention to Waxford, who is leaving the front desk.
